Founded in the 1970s by a group of craftsmen, Fort began by manufacturing small agricultural machines such as rotary tillers and diesel-powered motor cultivators, ideal for tilling the soil and tending vineyards.
The company’s first major success came with the design of its motor cultivators, which were highly regarded for their combination of technology, quality and reliability.
In the 1980s, the company expanded its range by introducing construction machinery such as transporters, pick-up trucks with tipper bodies, tracked vehicles and small bulldozers, building up a range of over 50 models and numerous accessories for agriculture and landscaping.
In recent years, the product range has been expanded to include niche products for small-scale farming, nurseries and urban planning, alongside a range of electric machines designed for eco-sustainable farming and zero-emission green space maintenance.
Today, Fort is part of the Perdieci Group, an organisation that invests in outstanding companies to support their growth and development.
